Thanks to Tablet Hotels recommendations, we were able to book another 5 star Boutique Hotel in Quebec City. The inside is a blend of old and new with artifacts scattered in public rooms and hallways that were uncovered during excavation. We spent three nights there, prior to boarding a cruise ship. Our rooms overlooked the St. Lawrence river. One room was what they called Luxe, and had a huge bathroom with a giant circular window, double sinks, separate shower and huge whirlpool bath. Bathroom amenities included shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, plus shower gel, sewing kit, q-tips and cotton pads, shower cap, shoe shine cloth and mouth wash. Our room amentities were free internet, flat screen TV, comfortable pillows on chairs and beds, turn down service that included a weather forecast for the next day(we had one day of rain and two of sun). There was a weekly Manager's party on Wednesday night where the Manager and the owners were present to meet and greet guests. Free drinks of any kind, plus nibbles. The restaurant in the hotel was called Panache and was highly recommended. We were unable to make more than one reservation as it was so booked up. Our one meal consisted of local scallops and beef. Our breakfast favorite there were crepes covered with every kind of berry you could think of.We spent two days walking through Quartier Petit Champlain, shopping as we went. We also took the funicular up to the huge Fairmont Chateau Frontenac. We just loved this hotel and hated to leave!

It wasnt one key thing, but rather a compilation of several key pieces that made the experience wonderful - food, atmosphere, rooms, style, sophistication, warmth and service.

I really liked the homey yet modern atmosphere. The layout of the hotel was really easy to get around and the restaurant was very accessible. The location of the hotel made it easy to get everywhere in town. Rooms were very nice and user friendly.

Beautifully designed room, charming neighborhood, extremely romantic, great amenities.

We loved our room and the view from the terrace. We traveled with our 1 and 3 year old kids and had plenty of space. We've tried a dozen places in Quebec City, and this is our favorite!!
