1. “This is one of the few places I've been to where my wife and I felt instantly relaxed as soon as we arrived at the resort. It has a chic and simple contemporary design but still manages to be cosy and rustic. Staff are low key while still attentive and professional. Breakfast was sensational and although we dined at the restaurant for lunch and dinner a couple of times, we ate out at the nearby local restaurants which was fun and easy.”

2. “This tiny resort feels very intimate (which was probably helped by the fact that we were the only guests, as we stayed there during the Red Shirt riots and the ash cloud travel chaos). The beach villas are small but perfectly formed, and offer a great, unspoiled view onto the Gulf of Thailand. The beach in Pranburi is of varying quality, luckily in front of the Aleenta it is at its best, wide and soft. The small restaurant offers a nice selection of fresh and very tasty dishes. All in all, a perfect destination for a few days of complete laziness. Note that the resort is divided into two parts, which are about 300m apart, with other small resorts in between.”
