“Globally good hotel with nice room but service could be more personalized for the price they ask. I asked them to consult on some activities for that WE but no sensible answer. I also suggested them to install the equipment which allows to play your I-pod rather than a cd player with pretty limited choice of cd's”

“Room at the back overlooked a medieval square, which was noisy with singing until 5.30am!! However, the next day when we asked for another room we were given an upgrade to a junior suite at the (very quiet) front of the hotel. The hotel management also got the tourist police to move the people who hung around the square.”

“The Neri Hotel is an oasis of hip, sleek, urban chic in a desert of monochromatic, Gothic blah. I found the transposition to be quite emblematic of Barcelona's design aesthetic - similar to the dichotomy of the two completed facades of the Sagrada Familia. Old and new, Gothic and modernist - somehow, in Barcelona, it works. Only blemish was the constant and sometimes noisy presence of street people in the courtyard immediately behind the hotel.”

“My wife and I stayed for two nights of pure indulgence after I had attended a conference in Barcelona. The location was special in itself and we could walk to all our favourite spots, with the nearby Born district the highlight. The rooms were beautifully appointed and the whole hotel had the perfect romantic blend of old world structure and chic interior makeover. Hitches with the room heating and in house movies were small distractions to an otherwise fantastic experience. The range of room service could be improved but the restaurant meals were special and service friendly and attentive.”
