“We are not sure if this is the best sushi in the city, we are sure it has one of the most outgoing and exciting sushi chefs - Shingo Sano. He has been around: from Vancouver to Montreal with stops in Tokyo, Columbus, Ohio, Philadelphia and New York for three years. We don't know if all the travels is what makes for the great sushi, we know it makes for the warm welcome shouted at you as you walk in the door and the thank you as you leave.As for the sushi? For us it is all about freshness and here it is as fresh as you can get. Of course there is the usual nigiri and maki and Chef Shingo has his specialties that he is willing to adapt if there is something that you don't like in them. Sit at the sushi bar to hear the chefs talk amongst themselves and get spoiled with treats for sitting there - cajun tuna, fresh mackarel, or a cucumber salad to get you ready for the main event. Beside the sushi, the hot menu has a lot of the usuals, but they all seem to come out tasting just a notch above - especially the General Tao chicken - we know but we love it anyway!All of this is presented in a simple modern atmosphere with a young friendly staff in what was the first MacDonald's In Montreal - much better as a sushi restaurant we think!We want to find fault somewhere, it may be by the end of the meal there is no room for dessert or that it is a little out of the way in an area with not much else to offer before or after, if that is its only problem then we would say, next time you want sushi check it out.”

“This is the best sushi restaurant in Montreal. The sushi chef is also very entertaning. If you are looking for fresh and delicious sushi, this is the place to go. Miso also offer the best chicken teriyaki and very creative never seen japanese fusion food. You should try their tuna tataki. Wow.I live in the west island (Miso is a bit far from my house) so i've only been a 5 times, but everytime I go, I am amazed by the freshness of the food. Check it out!”
